Dear Friends of Hope Ranch,
As we are all aware of, the uncertain days ahead are deeply affecting people. Many are facing anxiety at greater levels and are truly fearful. Videos, news feeds and blogs are all about the Coronavirus. There doesn’t seem to be much good news.
First, let me say that here at HR4W we believe as followers of Christ we have wonderful news for the world to hear. It is our time to minister to the world in real ways as we love, pray for and serve our neighbors, friends and the community. WE ARE NOT AFRAID. We are walking out wisdom and peace. We are thankful for God’s Provision and Presence.
The safety and health of our clients, staff, mentees, mentors, volunteers and partners are a high priority. We have health protocols in place for the residents, staff and those we serve in Mentoring and Equine Assisted Learning. We will be limiting exposure to large groups, disinfecting to even higher standards and prepared in the event that there is illness in the home. We have groceries and toiletries that are stocked up in case of quarantine.
Also, in response to the economic downward trend, we are tightening our belts. This is a great opportunity to teach women on how to be frugal and at the same time generous. This is budgeting 101 in the home. We are turning this into real life lessons about our God who provides through donors who give.
Thank you for your continued support to this work. Without you the women would not have the option of receiving and living into their new freedom.
Our prayer requests:
- Health of clients, staff, mentors, mentees, volunteers and donors
- Education and vocational training for residents
- Employment opportunities and job retention for mentees
- Wisdom as we interview for a CEO
- How can we pray for you? Let us know.
His Servant,
Cathy Turner
